Day 31

Today was GORGEOUS (in the 70s!) so we went for a bike ride then ran some errands. While out, Josh washed the muck off the Jeep from the ice storm on Tues/Wed of this week... Yeah, in the teens one day and 70s another. Welcome to Texas. Anyway, he washed it while I sat in the car and watched:)

Day 30

This is the book I'm reading right now. It's one of four spinoffs of the trilogy Black, Red and White by Ted Dekker. These four are geared more towards younger adults, but it's still fabulous because the trilogy is FABULOUS. I highly recommend anything by Ted Dekker!

Day 29

Stripling and Cox threw up.

Day 28

We had a solid sheet of ice on the ground when we woke up this morning. It started last night and ended early this morning. I didn't go in to work until noon and it was still really icy then! I only wish we could have snow instead of ice!

Day 27

For our Bible study, we have to re-create one of our first dates. Since most of our first dates involved the outdoors, that wasn't exactly possible because it's sleeting tonight! On one of our first dates, we went to IHOP after hanging out at the park, so we re-created the 2nd part of that night and just did the IHOP thing!

Day 26

Angela and Abigail came over tonight for a little bit. They are heading back to Kiev, Ukraine on Wednesday. We are so glad we got to see them!!

Day 24

We went to Houston for Ashlee and Tyler's wedding this weekend. Carrie and I were just messing around with the camera during the reception! (No bridesmaid dresses were harmed in the making of this photo)

Day 23

We're in the Houston area tonight for Ashlee and Tyler's wedding tomorrow. Hooray for weddings!!!

Day 22

This was the temp today around 6:00 PM. The high was in the 80's today and will be again tomorrow!

Day 21

We started our new small group Bible study tonight. This is the book we'll be working through! I'm excited about it!

Day 20

Oliver loves to sleep under the covers at night. Lately, he's gotten in the habit of digging up under the covers flap to sleep too. (The part at the top that folds over) Last night, Josh had the wool blanket over him and Oliver just couldn't resist! He not only dug under the flap, but under the wool blanket as well! I snuck a couple pictures of him in all his furry cuteness!

Day 19

Color is off on this picture... Oh well. We have an old wool Army blanket that we sometimes lay across the bed when it's cold. Byron absolutely LOVES it and is always laying on it!

Day 18

At Campo Verde... we fit 6 of us, plus Santa, in a phone booth.

Day 17

Babysitting my 2nd cousins! Sophie, Abigail, and Hayden!

Day 16

This is how much of my afternoon/evening was spent! Aren't they cute?!?

Day 15

Saying "Goodbye" to the day that I missed.

I really dislike working somedays. I get sad on those days where I see the sun on it's way up and see it on it's way down, but miss it all day long. Yeah, I have a window, but I don't get to enjoy the day so it's not the same. Even though it was cold today, it was still a really nice day and I wish I could've enjoyed it! Only 1 more day till Saturday!!

Day 14

Our feast tonight. One of the benefits of my job is that I get to bring home leftovers from the meals I cater if I want to. Today we had WAY too much food left. I ended up coming home with 2 trays of beef enchiladas, 1 tray of cheese enchiladas, 1 tray of beef empanadas plus rice, beans and the fixings. GOOD COW. And that's just what I brought home!! one of the other admins took home even more! I am just hoping it freezes ok.

Day 13

Today is a tie.. The first pic is how I spent an hour of my day today. Trying to write with my left hand. Pretty, huh?

This next picture is of our fence (please excuse the horrible looking "garden" right now). The dogs next door broke through AGAIN. The firewood you see on the ground is our first attempt to keep them out of the first hole. The plywood is over that hole and was our second attempt to keep them out. Tonight, as you can see, they have made a second hole. We FINALLY managed to catch the neighbor and tell him the problem needs to be remedied NOW. Hopefully this will all be resolved soon because I can't take much more of this. They are destroying our yard and anything in it.

Day 12

I took this tonight from the top of the parking garage at the hospital. View of downtown FW

Day 11

Today was the Union Sundaes on Sunday baby shower for Susan and Chandler! Just a fun time to sit around and gab and bless the soon-to-be mommies!

Day 10

Saginaw has a fabulous BBQ joint called Texas Pit Bar-B-Q. I've never had anything there that wasn't mouth-watering good! We usually grab food there once or twice a month and today was one of those days! They're famous for a certain sandwich called The Big Nasty. I've never had it because it sounds just that... nasty! Basically, it has Frito's, chili/beans, chopped beef, cheese, sour cream, onions... and probably something else I'm forgetting. I don't foresee myself ever eating it. We shall see though! I have had stranger concoctions in the DBU cafeteria on dares before! Anyway, this was on the back of their take-out mDaenu in our bag and I just found it amusing :) So, check on Texas Pit next time you're in Saginaw and I double dog dare ya to eat The Big Nasty!

Day 9

Taken at about 3:30 AM on day 10, but I'm using it for day 9. More later. (We're all fine)

Thursday, January 8, 2009

Day 8

This is where I spent my evening. Josh went to some of our friend's house to watch the big college ball championship game. Since I'm not exactly what you'd call an avid football fan, I opted to stay home and scrapbook instead! I'm still SO behind on it. I've finally made it up to our wedding showers. Just four years worth of pictures to go until I'm caught up to the present!!

Wednesday, January 7, 2009

Day 7

We watched some Dave on TV tonight. Doesn't get any better!

Tuesday, January 6, 2009

Day 6

Watching my boss leave for the last time. She hasn't been in the office since the beginning of October, but was technically still employed. She came in today to clear out the rest of her stuff. It's been very strange up here without her, that's for sure!

Day 5

January 5, 2009

We had a little bit of ice today, but not even enough to get us out of work or anything! How lousy is that?! Still working on mastering my new flash, hence why the photo above looks like it was shot in the sunlight, whereas it was really super cloudy and nasty out.

Project 365

I stole this idea from another blog I follow. Sounds like fun to me! I missed a few days already but I was sick so not much was missed! For more information on the 365 Project, go here.
