Day 149 (May 29

Who says there aren't castles in Texas?! This incredible house is on Eagle Mountain Lake

Day 148 (May 28)

We have so many green beans. I swear, they grow like weeds!! If I don't check them every other day, they're overgrown. I guess it's a good problem to have. We're going to bag them and freeze them so we can enjoy them once we move. YUM!

Day 147 (May 27)

Terrible picture of one of the many C 130Js that fly over my building. This guy was coming in for a landing and was particularly low, but I couldn't get my camera in time so it's blurry and he's already moved quite a ways away.

Day 146 (May 26)

We had some storms come through. This isn't a picture of the storm that got us, but it was the only cool looking cloud, so I snapped a photo of it.

Day 145 (May 25)

I'm terrible. I totally forgot to take a picture today. Literally, all we did was pack though. Pack and move crap. I think. I honestly can't remember. The last couple weeks have been a total blur. Kinda makes me even more grateful for this blog so I can look back and remember a little bit anyway!!

Day 144 (May 24)

We went to the Liniger's for a cookout tonight. We had a blast just hanging out with friends. There were a so many little boys running around! Here are only 4 of them plus Chris... so maybe 5 kids:

This kid is way too cute:

Day 143 (May23)

Mom and I hosted a bridal shower for my cousin, Leah. Here she is about to demolish the amazingly tasty (and beautiful!) cake.

Day 142 (May 22)

We picked up the gorgeous cake Melissa made for my cousin's bridal shower on Saturday. It came out sooooo good!!!

Day 141 (May 21)

This was Josh's sleeping bag as a kid. I just love what he had written on the tag....so
cute! What I love even more is that he signed it "your friend" after having written such a bold message!

Day 140 (May 20)

One of the fabulous mentor couples (and great friends!) in our Sunday school class moved several months ago and when they heard we had sold our house and were moving, they offered us all the boxes we could take! We loaded up big time. They are such a blessing in our lives, besides being great box-givers! Here's just some of the boxes

Day 139 (May 19)

Well, our broccoli grew. Too bad I cut it too late! Since we'd never grown broccoli before, we weren't sure when to cut it. Apparently you're supposed to do it before the yellow flowers bloom. Oh well. We're on the lookout for more

Day 138 (May 18)

See that fan in the center of the picture? It's a fan at Lowe's that we've had our eye on for 3 years. Since we moved into our house. We really wanted it for our back porch but were waiting for it to go on sale. It never would. Every time we'd go to Lowe's, we'd check to see if the price was lower. Never! Now that we're moving, it's on sale. Go figure.

Day 137 (May 17)

We left after Sunday school today to meet our realtor and look at a bunch of houses. A tad overwhelming! Anyway, I have a bunch of boring house pics, but instead I'll share this one:

I was in the back of our realtor's car, going from place to place and got bored and distracted. I noticed how my sunglasses cast a super rad rainbow out the window due to her tint. So, being the humongous nerd that I am I put my camera up to the sunglasses lens and snapped a pic. Or two. Or three. I just thought it was purty

Day 136 (May 16)

I could've sworn I took a pic today, but apparently I didn't. Anyway, we went to my parents house and watched The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. Very odd movie. Good, but strange.

Day 135 (May 15)

Carrie graduated! Yippee!! Here she is getting her diploma from Uncle Gary.

Yeah, not really an uncle. He's the president of DBU, Gary Cook. While I was in school there, me and a friend started calling him Uncle Gary for whatever reason and that is still how we refer to him!

Day 134 (May 14)

Saw this car while driving to work. This is the same car that was my first car. A Chevy Crapsica (Corsica). Even the same "gold" color.

Day 133 (May 13)

These are just a few of the peaches we got off one of our trees. I will TOTALLY miss this too!! Our peaches and our garden are looking really really good and we won't get to enjoy them this year :(

Day 132 (May 12)

I will miss this. Big time. I love our yard!
I will NOT miss this. Our neighbor's yard...

Day 131 (May 11)

I didn't take any pictures today because my brain is fried. I spent most of the evening sorting through Jenn's pics though so I figured I could share another one of those since that's how I spent my evening! Well.. that and getting emotional about my house, getting pissed about their crappy counter offer, getting emotional again, trying to pay bills, getting emotional, and working on invitations for my cousin's bridal shower next weekend. I need a week off, just to think.

Sunday, May 10, 2009

Day 130 (May 10)

Today I had the honor and privilege of shooting Jenn's bridals. Jenn is a friend of my little sister and I've known her for.... umm.. a looooong time! I can't believe she's old enough to get married! I don't want to post much until I get her permission to do so, but here is one. Keep in mind, that this is totally un-edited right now. I have been going on very little sleep all weekend and I am NOT up to editing any photos tonight! Tomorrow I'll begin the gruntwork on that end!

Day 129 (May 9)

I'm cheating on this day too and using several pics

Much like the cabin from day 128, this tractor has also been in the playground for over 28 years and hasn't changed a bit. I have pictures of me on it when I was a year old or so. Anna and I were just goofing off

My Nana heard somewhere that if you spray Listerine around you (not on you, obviously!) it will keep the skeeters away. Very "My Big Fat Greek Wedding"ish if you ask me, but apparently it WORKS! Anytime I sat near her and sprayed her bottle around my chair, but mosquitoes disappeared. I'm not sold yet, but I'm totally willing to try it again. Plus, it smells good!

This is my dad playing the dulcimer on stage with Cathy Barton and Dave Parra

Day 128 (May 8)

I'm cheating and using two photos for today.
This is the Sprucedale cabin at Oakdale Park. It's the cabin my family has stayed in for the 28 years the festival has been going on. And it hasn't changed or been updated in the tiniest bit. The mattresses in there are probably all at least 30 years old. I don't have any desire to know what's crawling around in them. Anyway, no matter what, it'll always feel kinda homey to me. But not the shower. I will spare you a picture of that...
The second picture is of the "baby butt clouds" we saw that night. Trust me, the pictures didn't do it justice. And about 10 minutes before I could get to my camera it was probably 50x better

Day 127 (May 7)

This is a picture of the sunset somewhere along the road between Cresson and Granbury on Thursday night.

Day 126 (May 6)

What to do, what to do.. So many choices!

Tuesday, May 5, 2009

Day 125 (May 5)

We worked on our Bible study tonight. We're covering Ecclesiastes and are going through 11 and 12 tomorrow night.

After that, we turned on the Biggest Loser!

Monday, May 4, 2009

Day 124 (May 4)

I haven't exactly been on the Wii Fit in awhile. Just been lazy. Anyway, this thing gives you crap if you miss even one day, so after 21 days, it REALLY gave me crap. Ah well, I was down a few lbs though so that's good!!

Sunday, May 3, 2009

Day 123 (May 3)

Our oak tree was full of birds taunting Oliver today. We opened the door and I managed to snap this one pictures before they took off. The bird is a little blurry, but oh well. It's rainy and we basically did nothing but lay around again today, other than church this morning!

Found this cute little bird egg outside too.

Day 122 (May 2)

I didn't take any pictures today because it was rainy and we pretty much stayed home all day. We did a little cleaning, Joshed mowed the lawn, we watched a little TV, and while Josh napped, I got started on the 4th book of the Lost Books series by Ted Dekker. Fabulous. I've said it before, but if you haven't read any of his novels, you're majorly missing out. He's an incredible Christian author. The way he presents the gospel, especially in the Circle Trilogy (the books that the Lost Books are a spin off/part of), is just awesome. So yeah. Read his books. Start with Black and go from there. You won't be sorry! :)

Day 121 (May 1)

I went to the Botanical Gardens with Dixie, Brenda, and little Benjamin today. We had a great time despite the insane humidity!
