Day 302 (October 29)

Mother found two of these funky looking caterpillars crawling on the peppermint. Little twits ate all the leaves off! How rude! She brought them inside and I tried to get a few pictures of them before we chunked them outside, far away from any plants they could eat.

Please excuse the poor quality. I didn't realize my lens was smudged until after I took these and we threw the little guys outside

Day 301 (October 28)

The doctor called me back today with the results from my CT scan and everything came back negative...which is good. I have a follow up appointment later this week.
We were rushed today and had Bible study too, so the only photo I have to represent today is a screen shot on my phone

Day 300 (October 27)

We set up a "romantic" candlelit dinner for Daniel and Emily, complete with dad on the fiddle violin, and me as the maître d’.

And I'm not really as huge as I appear in that shirt. It's one of Dad's and I didn't realize how HORRIBLY unflattering it was until after we took the pictures!

I also had a CT scan of my head today. Yuck. I've had some weird stuff going on so we just want to make sure things up there are ok. I will hopefully get the results in a day or two. The only thing they told me today was that I DO have a brain. Well, that's good to know!

That's a pic of my arm where I had the IV. They had to shoot contrast into me... That stuff is weird. Nothing like laying on a table and all of a sudden feeling super hot and like you have to pee! Yippee!! Thank goodness it only lasts a few seconds!

Day 299 (October 26)

Didn't do much today. Came home from work and spent time editing photos. I always love doing this!

Day 298 (October 25)

Today was the FBC Pumpkin Run. Carrie, Jenny, and I walked pretty much the whole thing. We didn't come in last... and we'll leave it at that!

This is Carrie, Dana, me, and Jenny afterwards with our oranges

Later, The Afters played at the Levitt!! I was quite a follower of their band back in college. Back then, they were called Blisse though. They rocked it as usual and it turned into a semi-worship service which was great. Love these guys!

Day 297 (October 24)

Josh and I helped out my Nana today by carting a bunch of donated books for the East Arlington Renewal. We picked them up at the Central Library, then took them to East Library for a big ceremony, then dropped them off at Highland Baptist.

Our truck

One of the fire dept trucks

There was at least one other truck that was full too. They had collected almost 14 thousand books!!

Day 296 (October 23

One of Carrie's young life girls spent the weekend at the house. On Friday night, the three of us ran up to EntertainMart. I only ended up getting a Third Day CD for $4 this time.

Day 295 (October 22)

This is "Pat". We're not sure if Pat is a he or a she. We think a she. With hairy legs and a mustache shadow. Hard to say. Daniel and I ran up to get pizzas for dinner and decided to name her.. him.. it. At first we said "Edgar" but Josh came up with "Pat" so...Pat it is!

Day 294 (October 21)

We finally made it to Bible study tonight. We've missed the first several because we were either sick or gone to Winfield.

Day 293 (October 20)

We didn't do much tonight. I showed my mom and sister some of the pictures of the model home where we're building. Mom has been out there before, but Carrie hadn't. Here's a picture of the gameroom upstairs.

Day 292 (October 19)

We reserved our lot! Yikes!

Lot reservation

Day 291 (October 18)

I love having the Levitt right up the road. Yes, it's loud and we can hear it at the house from time to time, but when there is good music, it's nice! Sunday night they were showcasing people from A-town who were up and coming musicians. Some were good, some were just ok, but it was free and fun. One of the guys, Chris, is a guy I went to church with growing up.

Nothing better than listening to music under the stars!

Day 290 (October 17)

We registered for the Pumpkin Run online. As a verification question, they ask what 2+2 is. I was curious what it would say if I put in a wrong answer, so I did... Love the response!

Now I just have to figure out how to run the 5k when I haven't run in .... a long time.

Day 289 (October 16)

I had the honor of taking photographs of my friend Brenda's little boy, Benjamin, on Friday morning. He is such a doll!

Day 288 (October 15)

Union had a potluck tonight. I didn't get any pictures though. Anyway, when we got home, we goofed off a little on the Wii Fit with Carrie.

Day 287 (October 14)

I made some rolls for a Union potluck on Thurs night. They tasted good, but unfortunately one of the pans decided to burn the bottoms on a few rolls a little bit.

Day 286 (October 13)

Foggy day.

Monday, October 12, 2009

Day 285 (October 12)

We had spaghetti squash for dinner tonight. Yum!

Sunday, October 11, 2009

Day 284 (October 11)

Greek Fest!! Carrie and I went out to the Greek Fest in Euless today. It rocked. Very fun and very... Greek!
We also had our Supper Club at the Liniger's house this evening. There was a great group of folks there. We ate and then painted pumpkins! My camera died though, so I only got a few pictures.

Day 283 (October 10)

Josh, Carrie and I went out to the State Fair on Saturday. It was supposed to be sunny and around 70. I don't think the temperature ever got above 60 and the sun never came out. It was cold! But a lot of fun! Josh and I tried the fried pecan pie, which was really good. It was the first time I'd ever tried one of the specialty foods at the fair (other than Fletcher's Corn Dogs, that is!)

Later, we met up with Ashlee and Tyler and went to the petting zoo. We got to see a llama give birth! It was so cool!

Day 282 (October 9)

Carrie and I went to the grocery store and found this, among other things, down the kosher/international aisle. We thought it looked like a bowl of noodles and intestines.

Day 281 (October 8)

I had to make a sign for one of our drives at work. I got to try my hand at drawing camo. Fun stuff.

No matter how old I get, I always make a mess when I color with markers

Day 280 (October 7)

Mom and I made breakfast for dinner tonight. For some reason, I was having major issues with the pan and the stove and my pancakes were total crap.
I would turn the stove up just a TINY touch and they'd immediately burn. I'd turn it down a notch and it would barely cook. I don't know what the deal was! I never have this much trouble with stinkin' pancakes! They were edible, but they were some of the worst I've ever made. At least Mom's sausage came out good!

Day 279 (October 6)

How I spent my evening...
We were supposed to meet our friends Brent and Briyana for dinner tonight, but as soon as I left work, I was smacked with what I can only believe was a migraine. I saw a bunch of squiggles (which is typical for me) then it hit. Followed shortly by nausea. And, naturally, panic. What a great night. Unfortunately, we had to cancel with our friends at the very last minute (literally). I am so sad about it, but alas, we shall reschedule when I'm not dying!! I'm feeling a bit better now, but my head is unfortunately still pounding. Ugh.

Day 278 (October 5)

Seriously, what is the purpose of these things at gas stations?? They always put them in just the right spot so that when you open your door (IF you even can) you hit them. They drive me crazy!

Day 277 (October 4)

Kinda foggy on the way into church. I'm loving this cool, rainy weather!

Day 276 (October 3)

The Aggies were playing Arkansas at the Cowboy's stadium so we parked over at Nana's and walked over to watch the Fightin' Texas Aggie Band and the Aggie Corps march into the stadium. Pretty fun! And I'm so glad Nana lives so close because there is no way I'll ever pay $40 to park!!
We went back over to Nana's later to watch the game since we no longer have ESPN at home!

Day 275 (October 2)

We took a quick walk around the block with Emily and Carrie in the evening. There is this random big house around the corner and they have a couple of these little yappy dogs. They leave one of the windows on the 2nd floor open most of the time and the dogs go in and out at will and wander all over the roof. It's quite strange

Friday, October 2, 2009

Day 274 (October 1)

Carrie and Emily made homemade pizza for dinner. It was really good! Then we all watched Monsters VS Aliens which was super cute

Day 273 (September 30)

Mom got a new cell phone and finally got text messaging!

Her first text to me :)
